Progreso Shore Excursions FAQ

Practical answers for cruise passengers. This site does not sell tours.

How long do cruise ships typically stay in Progreso?

Many calls are relatively long (often discussed in an 8–10 hour band), but you must confirm arrival, departure and all-aboard with your cruise line.

How far is Chichén Itzá?

Commonly around two hours each way by coach as a planning heuristic — verify with any operator and your ship window.

Is Mérida realistic?

Yes for many passengers — a nearer culture day than Chichén Itzá.

Are pink-lagoon tours the same as Las Coloradas?

Usually not. Near-port products focus on Xcambó and local wetlands. Las Coloradas / Ría Lagartos are much farther east.

Do you take bookings or payments?

No. Email hello@progresoshoreexcursion.com for editorial questions only.
